To be PUSHed (Part 1)

To be PUSHed (Part 1)

“I think we all strive to push ourselves, to overcome our struggles. And when we do, we get to know ourselves better.” -Ann Bancroft

Last fall I was a very lucky photographer and snagged a seat at The PUSH Conference which took place in July. I will admit I was nervous about attending, not knowing anyone or what to expect, I had to give myself a little push to go. Like with most things, once you do it you are awful glad you did. Not only did I make some great friends, I learned from so of the best photographers who I have admired for some time. The instructors were so wonderful to work with and truly wanted each attendee to gain from coming.

Urban Senior Session

Styled by Teri Fode

Each evening there were instructor lead concept shoots and they were a great time to ask questions, watch technique and learn in small groups. I loved seeing the instructors visions come to life. It was inspiring!

These images were inspired by a Dolce and Gabbana runway show. The girls were styled beautifully.

We got some sneak peeks of some mood boards prior to the conference and I was excited to see the Good v. Evil concept come to life!

Last but not least… were the friendships that I made. It deeply valuable to meet other professionals and connect with them. I loved getting to know these ladies and a few others really well during this time and sharing what we are all so passionate about… creating.

Part 2 will be more behind the scenes and some valuable takeaways from the instructors.
